Why did you join RMPCMA? Sheila Ryan on the membership committee invited me to attend an educational meeting. Henry Rosales was so welcoming at that first meeting and it made a huge impression. I joined the organization and membership committee following that meeting and have loved being a part of the organization ever since.
What have you found to be most beneficial being a member of RMPCMA? The connections and friendships that I have made throughout the past five years have been invaluable.
Have you attended the National Convention? If so, # of times and what did you enjoy most? I attended Convening Leaders for the first time in January 2019. Having grown up outside of the city of Pittsburgh, I enjoyed going back to the area as a conference attendee. I really enjoyed the Chapter Leader Workshops and brainstorming with other board members from chapters across the country.
What advice would you give to a person just entering this profession? Get involved on a committee in an industry organization. It’s the best way to connect with people in the industry that you may not otherwise get to know.
How did you get in this business and what attracted you to this business? I was working in health club management in the Washington DC area after college. I met a resort sales person during a tour and was determined to work in the industry after that conversation.
What is your favorite winter or summer activity and why? I started skiing in the 6th grade and completely fell in love with it. Growing up in western PA with not much sun, I found joy in being outdoors in the winter.
How long have you lived in Colorado and what do you like most about living here? I moved here 26 years ago and enjoy everything about Colorado, especially the sunshine. I ski an average of 30 days a season with my family (two teenage boys and husband) and cherish the time on the mountain with family and friends. I love mountain biking preferably with girlfriends, chatting the entire ride, taking my mind off of the climbs. I also love the fact that I can leave my house on my road bike and ride for hours. 
What is one thing about yourself that no one knows? In middle school I won the award for being the friendliest in my class.
Do you currently watch any TV Series? If so, please elaborate. The last two series that I really enjoyed were Stranger Things and Ozark. I have been waiting patiently for the next Stranger Things series to begin. I recently read Big Little Lies and binge watched the entire Net Flicks series in one night.
