OVERVIEW
Our communities are increasingly diverse. COVID has made us all realize the importance of human connection and the value of relationships with colleagues, friends and family. The need to ensure everyone feels included and welcomed has never been more clear. When we gather together, at events or meetings, our underrepresented communities may feel excluded. They may not feel seen, heard, valued or respected. Through all our best efforts, there remain gaps. RMPCMA members have the opportunity to serve as leaders and advocates to increase inclusion, build community, and drive positive change.
SESSION DESCRIPTION
As leaders, we have an obligation now more than ever to stand for what is right and do our part to drive inclusion. Creating event experiences where everyone feels welcome is not only the right thing to do for our communities, it’s also the right thing to do for the business. How do we, as leaders, influence key stakeholders to drive change and move the needle? In this interactive workshop, we will share best practices to get buy-in for more inclusive events. There will also be dedicated time for conversations with your colleagues as we collaborate together to increase inclusion and make an impact.
