Regan Robertson – Conference & Events Manager

Housing Colorado – Member since 2014

Why did you join RMPCMA?  I joined RMPCMA  to stay current in our industry and to keep in contact with previous colleagues as we all progress in our careers.

Have you attended the National Convention?  If so, # of times and what did you enjoy most?  I attended my first National Convention in Nashville this year. The breakout sessions were amazing!  I love going to other conferences to get fresh ideas to replicate at my own events.

Can you share a life lesson that you have learned in this industry?  That sometimes it’s hard for current management to see your potential outside of your current role. That if you want to make a change, you need to be willing to take chances and explore other avenues that lead to the same destination.

What is your favorite book (business and/or pleasure)?  What did you love about it?  The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. I loved that the book kept me thinking way after I was done reading it.  I enjoyed the book so much, that I refuse to watch the movie, so as not to dampen my own internal portrayal of the characters.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I am an avid gardener and love to buy or take cuttings for new plants. My latest triumph has been keeping three geranium plants alive through the winter to re-plant them this spring.  They are currently thriving and hoping that they will bloom when I place them back outdoors.

Do you currently watch any TV Series?  If so, please elaborate.  The newest TV show that I am hooked on is The Resident, which portrays the dark sides of Hospitals and Doctors that you don’t always think about.   I am also anxiously waiting for the last season of Last Ship to be on Hulu.  It is about a Navy Ship that throughout the seasons has been the last hope of finding and manufacturing a cure to a deadly disease that is wiping out the entire world’s population.
