DESCRIPTION:The Rocky Mountain Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) invites you to participate in a fulfilling morning of community service at the Food Bank of the Rockies. This event is a fantastic opportunity for members to give back to the community\, network with fellow professionals\, and make a tangible impact in the lives of those in need. \nImportant Details: \nWHERE:\nFood Bank of the Rockies\n10700 E. 45th Ave.\nDenver\, CO 80239 \n\nWHEN:\nThursday\, April 25\, 2024\n8:45 AM – 12:00 PM \n\nRegistration Information \nOpportunity Name: We will be volunteering under the “Main Warehouse AM” shift\, where we’ll work together to sort\, pack\, and prepare food for distribution.\nNumber of Slots: We have 15 volunteer slots available for this event\, ensuring a significant impact while allowing for meaningful interaction among participants. \nRegistration Process: \n\nSign Up by April 11\, 2024: All participants must register no later than two weeks before the volunteer shift\, ensuring we’re adequately prepared to assist the Food Bank of the Rockies.\nUse the Group Registration Link: Please visit our group’s registration page here to secure your spot. Locate our event by the date and click the green “Sign up” button.\nCreate an Account: If you’re new to the system\, you’ll need to create an account. Don’t worry; no join code is required\, and you can skip this step if prompted.\nAccept the Agreement: During registration\, you’ll accept the volunteer agreement and waiver as part of your commitment to participate.\nConfirmation Email: After registering\, you will receive an automatic confirmation email\, ensuring you’re all set for the event.\n\nREGISTER HERE – Denver\n  \nSecondary Location for Salt Lake Area\nWe are excited to present our Salt Lake area members with a secondary location to volunteer! This volunteer opportunity will take place at the Utah Food Bank on April 25th from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM. More information below! \nEvent Details:\nDate/Time: Thursday\, April 25th\, 1:30 – 3:00pm\nLocation: Utah Food Bank\n3150 S 900 W\, Salt Lake City\, UT 84119\nOpen Slots: 10 volunteers \nREGISTER HERE – Salt Lake City\nIt is important you arrive on time. Upon arrival\, please enter through the volunteer entrance located on the west side of the building. If you are unable to attend this volunteer shift\, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make this date/time opportunity available to other individuals. Other notes: \n\nIf you are able please bring some non-perishable food to donate.\nParking is extremely limited – carpool if possible\nClosed-toe shoes are required —no flip-flops\, sandals\, or open-toed shoes permitted\nVolunteer work tends to be somewhat physical in nature\, typically requiring one to be on their feet for long periods of time and have the ability to do some light to moderate lifting\nTo maintain a healthy environment\, if individuals in your group are feeling ill please encourage them to stay home\nPlease DO NOT leave bags or valuables visible in your car\nKeep safety in mind and ensure that those in your group are as well\nKeep off all mechanical/electrical equipment\nAll individuals must be at least 12 years of age\n\n\nLet’s Make a Difference Together! \nThis community service event is more than just volunteering; it’s a chance to connect with fellow Rocky Mountain PCMA members\, build stronger community ties\, and help those in need.
