GMID Goes Virtual

April 14, 2020

Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) was created to be an international forum for advocacy, awareness and celebration for the meetings & events industry. Each year, event professionals from around the world come together to raise the collective voice of our community.

In 2020, GMID will look very different.

Based on advice from the World Health Organization (WHO), Health Canada and governments around the world, we are not encouraging live events for GMID. But we will still meet and come together – and we’re going to break records doing it!

You’re invited to be part of this grassroots attempt at the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for Largest Audience For a Virtual Conference.

In this fast-paced and engaging 30 minute session we’re connecting with thousands of #EventProfs from all over the world to celebrate #GMID20 virtually.

This interactive session is designed to provide attendees with a forum to have their voices heard while contributing to valuable industry research, all while connecting with each other.

Hosted by Meetings Mean Business Canada, India and the United States, this event will include our record title attempt, followed by a discussion of COVID-19 and its impact on our communities, work and families.  Join our esteemed panel, including those from government, Business Events Canada, hotels, convention centres and the planning community to discuss the meetings & events industry from their perspectives and where we go from here.

Join us for an uplifting celebration of the positivity, resiliency and tenacity of the people who make up this amazing industry.

Please join us and be part of the conversation.
